STANDARD FEES
Queen Street Medical Centre Murwillumbah is a private medical practice. Fees are charged at a discounted AMA rate and all consults, face to face or telehealth, are billed according to duration and complexity. Some patients may be bulk-billed or receive a reduced rate at the Doctor’s discretion. Payment is required in full at the conclusion of the appointment. We accept payments of Cash, Credit Card or EFTPOS and are registered with Medicare for Electronic transfer for rebates.

EXCISIONS and BIOPSIES
There is a broad range of skin lesions or suspicious growths which require removal. An example of expected costs are shown below dependant on size, location and histology results. Fees, per lesion, may range from:

Fees are charged upon return of histology results from the pathology laboratory. Punch Biopsies performed are billed on the day.
Aftercare, including removal of sutures is included in these costs however, if an infection occurs’; a re-excision is required; or other medical matters are discussed with the GP a further consult fee may apply.
WORK COVER
Work cover appointments are invoiced to the patient. You can be reimbursed by claiming your work cover consultation from your insurer once your claim is approved and you have obtained a claim number. Work cover appointments are charged at rates set by the State Insurance Regulation Authority.

TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS
All phone and video consultations will be charged the standard fees listed above. All patients booking a telehealth appointment will be billed over the telephone by reception after completion of your appointment or can be made through HotDoc.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS
Due to high demand for appointments, cancellations made less than 2 hours prior to the booked time or missed appointments will incur a $20 Missed Appointment Fee. Please ensure you cancel your appointment 2 hours prior either by calling the clinic or via your HotDoc app. Any charges must be finalised before further appointments can be made.
